In a groundbreaking move marking the 2024 edition and beyond, fairtrade and the Association of Packaging Professionals in Côte d'Ivoire APECI have forged a collaborative alliance. This synergistic partnership entails APECI's orchestration of the Afrik'Embal Exhibition concurrent with the agrofood & plastprintpack West Africa 2024 event by fairtrade.
Afrik'Embal is back after several years. The first edition was held in Abidjan in 2002 and the second in Accra, Ghana, in 2005.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to create valuable synergy effects for exhibitors and trade visitors alike.
With a legacy spanning back to 1991, fairtrade Messe has been at the forefront of organizing international trade exhibitions. Since 2008, fairtrade has been spearheading the agrofood & plastprintpack trade fair series across Africa, spanning Algeria since 2008, Ghana since 2013, Nigeria since 2015, Ethiopia since 2017, and Côte d'Ivoire since 2018.
The Association des Professionnels de l'Emballage en Côte d'Ivoire APECI is an association of Ivorian packaging professionals and experts. Having obtained state approval in July 2022, APECI further strengthened its international presence by joining the renowned World Packaging Organisation (WPO) in October 2022. The association's activities focus on 5 major areas:
