- Around 85% of Ivorian exports are agricultural products. Cocoa alone accounts for a third. Agriculture is becoming increasingly productive and the use of machinery in arable farming and livestock farming is on the rise. The market for seeds, animal feed, fertilisers and pesticides is developing positively. ‘Cash crops’ such as cocoa, palm oil, coffee, cashew nuts and rubber for export as well as food production for the regional market are attracting attention.
- Côte d'Ivoire is the world's largest producer of cocoa. Cocoa remains by far the country's most important export.
